How to Apply Exposed Aggregate Seal WB

Applying Exposed Aggregate Seal WB is a straightforward process designed for efficiency and high-quality results. Follow these steps to ensure a durable, vibrant finish for your driveway, path, or patio.

Phase 1: Preparation

Before you begin, proper surface preparation is critical for the sealer to bond and penetrate effectively.

Clean the Surface: Ensure the area is entirely clean and free of any debris.

Neutralise Chemicals: If you have used acid etches, the surface must be applied, neutralised, and rinsed thoroughly according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Check the Weather: Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. Ensure the temperature is between 5 and 30 degrees celcius.

Phase 2: The Application Process

This water-based formula is designed for fast spray application to save time on the job site.

Spray: Apply the sealer evenly using a low-pressure sprayer

Broom: While the sealer is still wet, lightly work it into the surface using a soft bristle broom. This ensures even coverage and deep penetration into the concrete.

Monitor: Avoid letting the sealer pool or puddle in low spots

Optional Second Coat: Depending on the desired thickness and gloss, you can apply a second coat. Wait at least 30 minutes before re-coating.

Phase 3: Drying & Curing

While the sealer dries quickly, it requires specific times to reach full strength.

Foot Traffic: The surface can typically be walked on in as little as 30 minutes.

Restricted Access: Keep the area clear for at least 4 hours after the final application.

Vehicle Traffic: Avoid driving on the sealed surface for at least 2 days to allow for a full cure.
